holas, tengo una consulta referente a este error y problema que se presenta no muy a menudo pero si a veces:

se charlo con el proveedor del hosting y segun ellos dicen que podria ser throttling, dieron este link de temas de soporte en su hosting:

la verdad que no lo comprendo muy bien lo que dice y que solucion podria tener con respecto a este problema.

Es algo así como que tu cuenta esta consumiendo más CPU de la que se te permite, y mientras tanto te bloquean algunos recursos, puede que necesites aumentar los servicios contratados o disminuir las funcionalidades que tienes ahora (Desinstalar mods, etc..)

gracias juanla, muy buena la explicacion pero me gustaria que existiera uno para foros phpBB3 ya que seria de mucha mas ayuda.

Mayormente lo que deberías hacer es "mesa limpia":
Borrar temas antiguos, desinstalar mods que no se usen mucho o que consuman bastante, etc.. si el problema se debe a que hay demasiadas conexiones si es recomendable mejorar el plan de hosting.
Aún así una buena opción es pedir consejo al soporte de tu host, ellos mejor que nadie deberían de decirte que parte de tu sitio consume más, etc..

hay cosas que lo tengo claro que segun la cantidad de conexiones de usuarios recargan mucho y mas aun cuando tienes un plan digamos todo ilimitado pero llega el punto que se necesita un vps o dedicado.
creo que con observar este historial se podria decir que el foro es muy concurrido:

En total fueron 3095 usuarios en línea :: 120 registrados, 13 ocultos, 5 robots y 2957 invitados (basados en usuarios activos en las últimas 24 horas)
La mayor cantidad de usuarios en línea fue 5021 entre el Sab 21. Ago 2010 y el Dom 22. Ago 2010

No te puedo dar mucho más, pero si puede que parte de esas conexiones sean mediante bots, podrías evitar el acceso al foro de bots que no sean los que ya tienen usuario en el foro (si tienes bots), y te quitarías muchas conexiones, pero como te digo no te puedo ayudar con esto, supongo que habrá mods, o .htaccess preparados, incluso el mismo robots.txt puede ayudarte

perdon por la demora, pues si asi es me temo que el foro crece cada dia mas y mas cuando hay partidos que se satura y manda estos errores, lo que podria hacer seria limitar un poco los conectados anonimos pero no recuerdo donde se puede hacer eso
